BEER52 PRESENTS….CYBER FEST 2
Live: 6–10pm, Friday 5th and Saturday 6th June 2020 - Save £35 when you buy early bird tickets here
Following on from the huge success of CYBER FEST (the world’s first online beer festival brought to us in April), Beer52, the UK’s no.1 craft beer discovery club, have, due to popular demand, announced CYBER FEST 2 – a second, even bigger and better event giving beer lovers the opportunity to come together once more, share a unique live-streaming experience, and this time support a wider array of the Beer52 community’s favourite international breweries from over 12 different countries, all from the comfort of home in these unprecedented times.
Taking place across two separate sessions on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th June 2020, both between 6-10pm, ticket holders will receive a curated case of delicious craft beers in advance to sample alongside the live-streamed beer festival. Hosted by the editor of Beer52’s in-house magazine Ferment, Richard Croasdale, and Beer52’s Craft Beer Advisor, Douglas Garry, the live-stream will feature virtual, back-to-back tastings and Q&A sessions with the brewers behind each beer in the box.
A packed further programme of incredible live comedy sets from Olga Koch and Jack Barry, celebrity guests, music, brewery tours, a quiz with prizes and audience interaction like never before is set to make Cyber Fest 2 an unforgettable evening for craft beer lovers. Cyber Fest 2 will also see the introduction of different themed and exclusive virtual bar hangouts for ticket holders to socialise after the festival.
Cyber Fest 1, the world’s first online beer festival put on by Beer52 in April, proved a huge success. Selling out in just a few hours, the event went on to trend on Twitter, featured a cameo in the festival’s quiz from Irish funnyman Chris O’Dowd and even a surprise celebrity appearance from Brazilian footballer Roberto Carlos.
As with the first event, Cyber Fest 2 also provides a chance to support some of the world’s favourite independent breweries at a challenging time, with all physical beer festivals cancelled. Independent brewers are also facing a huge decline in orders due to pubs being closed. Beer52 will be paying each of the breweries upfront to help their cash flow.
This time, Cyber Fest 2 will see Beer52 curate a collection of beers that includes a greater selection of their favourite international breweries, in an effort to support the global community and some of the breweries that inspired founder James Brown to set up Beer52 in 2013. Some of the different breweries lined up as part of Cyber Fest 2 include: the world famous Dugges (Sweden), Pohjala (Estonia), Browar Stu Mostow (Poland), Stone & Wood (Australia), Lervig (Norway), Pomona Island (Salford, England), De Molen (Netherlands), Dogma (Serbia), Fierce (Scotland), Lost & Grounded (Bristol, England), with more to be announced soon.
James Brown, founder of Beer52, said of Cyber Fest 2: “The first Cyber Fest was a huge success – the tickets sold out in hours, we were trending on Twitter and we were so thrilled to be able to get the Beer52 community and new members together virtually to support some of the best breweries on the planet, at such a challenging time. We have so much planned to make Cyber Fest 2 an even bigger and better event, and can’t wait to extend our support to our brewer friends across the globe, with beers from over 12 different countries. It’s set to be a really great weekend of entertainment, and most importantly, a celebration of some incredible beers.”
Discounted early bird day tickets are available now for £34.99 (rrp. £49.99, order now to save £15). For Cyber Fest 2, Beer52 have also introduced a ‘weekender pass’, for a discounted early bird price of £64.99 (rrp. £99.99, order now to save £35). All orders will have a £4.99 delivery cost.
