In the hills of western Sicily, Principe di Corleone has been producing wines that reflect the region’s rich viticultural heritage since it was established by Giuseppe Pollara in 1892. The estate has remained under the stewardship of the Pollara family for four generations, and now has approximately 100 hectares under vine, northwest of the historic town of Corleone, at elevations between 350 and 550 metres above sea level.
The vineyards are situated near several protected natural environments, including Rocca Busambra and Monte Triona, which contribute to a unique microclimate. In particular, the presence of exceptionally pure underground streams allows for precise irrigation.
Principe di Corleone’s portfolio includes wines crafted from both indigenous and international grape varieties, such as Nero d’Avola, Grillo, Catarratto, Chardonnay, and Syrah. Each wine is produced with meticulous attention to detail, resulting in expressions that capture the essence of the Sicilian terroir.
The winery is committed to sustainable practices, participating in the SOStain Sicily program, which promotes ethical and environmentally responsible viticulture, including biodiversity protection and the use of eco-friendly materials.
Visitors to Principe di Corleone are offered truly immersive experiences, including guided vineyard tours and tastings that pair its wines with traditional Sicilian street food.
