Losito e Guarini

Losito e Guarini is a century-old family winery bridging northern and southern Italian wine traditions. In 1910, Domenico Losito left his native Apulia (Puglia) for Lombardy, opening a wine tavern in Brianza and laying the foundations of the business. The Losito and Guarini families merged in 1968 through marriage, uniting Puglian roots with Lombard winemaking. It’s a legacy honoured and continued by the next generation, brothers Davide and Renato Guarini, alongside their mother Luisa Losito. 

The winery is based in the province of Pavia (Oltrepò Pavese) with strong ties to Apulia, and today manages vineyards in both regions totalling hundreds of hectares. Its terroirs reflect this dual heritage: the heel of Apulia offers flat, temperate vineyards influenced by sea breezes, while in Oltrepò Pavese vines grow on rolling hills of calcareous marl and clay along the Po River and Apennine foothills. 

Over the course of 115 years, Losito e Guarini has evolved from local tavern to a major producer with modern facilities and international certifications. Despite its scale, the winery still revolves around family tradition, and its distinctive north/south split identity.
