About Northern Monk
Northern Monk was born in 2014, after founder Russ was gifted £5k from his Granny Bisset and teamed up with head brewer Brian to make their dream come true. The pair brewed small batches of beer in a damp cellar and selling their creations at local farmers markets. After only three months, their brews had attracted an investor and in 2014, today's Northern Monk brewery was set up in The Old Flax Store, Leeds.
Community and Collaboration
In 2015, Northern Monk launched Faith, the UK's first NEIPA, and soon after were global recognition for their incredible beers, placing them as industry leaders of hazy IPA brewing. However, staying true to their heritage is more than just beer, with community and collaboration at the heart of everything they do. Each year, they recognise Granny Bisset's gift with The Faith in Futures Foundation, which donates grants up to £5,000 to a range of community focused charities
