Abbey Averbode
Brewed as a collaboration between Brouwerij Huyghe and Averbode Abbey, Averbode and Averbode Extra are a celebration of the abbey’s 892 year history, and the continuation of monastic life there today. Each beer is brewed using a selection of grains, local water, and a specially formulated yeast, but what makes this abbey beer different from others is that it’s dry hopped with Challenger hops. The result is a bright, golden beer with both spicy and floral notes.
